The Investing Podcast Stock Market Contest – Spring 2017
Tusk Media / The Investing Podcast is hosting a four-month stock portfolio competition for current college students. The rules are simple, the opportunities are vast and the prizes are substantial…so let’s jump in.
- You must be at least 18 years old to participate.
- Contest begins February 1, 2017 and concludes May 31, 2017.
- You will have $100,000 to allocate as you see fit.
- Market order trades will be charged $7.99 trade commission fees.
- Limit order trades will be charged $15.99 trade commission fees.
- Winners will be selected based on total portfolio value at the end of trading on May 31, 2017.
Throughout the contest period, Tusk Media will invite participating students to join the podcasts (audio and/or video as applicable). Additionally, Tusk Media (and its parent company, Narwhal Capital Management), will make its staff available for support on the game and to answer general investing questions.
- First place will win a $250 Amazon gift card.
- Second place will win a $150 Amazon gift card.
- Third place will win a $50 Amazon gift card.
- In the event of a tie, all eligible funds will be “split” among eligible parties.
How to Sign Up
First and foremost, read through the disclosures and acknowledgements below.
Secondly, email Garrett Palmer at TuskMediaLLC@gmail.com with the subject line “Contest.” Include the following information in the body of your email:
- Are you interested in participating in podcast interviews as applicable? (Yes or No)
Garrett will then send you registration information for the game, which will be hosted on Investopedia.com.
